What is Display Advertising in Digital Marketing?

Display advertising involves serving text and/or image ads across the internet on website placements - on banners and ad slots available on these sites.

The Google Display Network (GDN) has over 2 million potential sites you can advertise on, reaching over 90% of people on the internet. 

Users can be targeted by specific placements (websites) they visit), by keywords, or by a variety of interests and behaviours that they have demonstrated online. This allows you to reach a large number of potential customers and introduce them to your brand. 

A real benefit of Display traffic is that it is some of the cheapest traffic you can pay, typically delivering over a thousand impressions for less than £1.

As these users aren’t actively searching for you, they are far less likely to convert immediately, but it does allow you to get your brand in front of a lot of relevant people.
