Whereas many brands claim to be and others have since followed suit, WAES are the first, exclusively 100% plastic-free, compostable sneaker company. All of WAES products are ethically made and sustainable for the planet. These shoes aren’t just eco-friendly, they look the part too; which is just as important to the brand and them finding their place in the market. Being so aligned with our own values, we were thrilled when WAES chose Dodo Digital to work with them on their Kickstarter campaign in order to raise brand awareness and funds in advance of their official launch in February 2020. We identified a number of key audience segments and targeted them with paid social ads on a granular level, layering with those who have previously engaged with Kickstarter campaigns. The activity ran internationally including in the UK, USA, Australia, Germany and France. We extensively tested different creative and copy as well as the overall user journey, making a number of recommendations which were executed by WAES. The Kickstarter achieved more than 200% of the target revenue goal, and we also helped to increase their social following and engagement by over 400%. The campaign was a massive success and we were hugely chuffed when they invited us to become their ongoing paid social & paid search agency.
